Make Antville speak your language

This weblog's purpose is to serve as a hub for getting the antville user interface translated to as many languages as possible. Currently, we have english and german versions of the messages used by Antville. We'd like to add support for as many languages as possible, so if you
- speak a language we don't have covered yet
- are able to translate from one of the existing languages
- feel you have the necessary writing/editing skills for the job

du machst dich zwar lustig
über meine art zu signieren frau meisterköchin, aber nix für ungut. es ist dir hoch anzurechnen dass du den job in it und frz machst, mein spanisch reicht wohl leider nicht aus für die sache, spanisch wär aber wichtig, da es neben englisch und dt. hier dominiert.
fand noch keine frz + ital hier, aber vielleicht kommen die noch. ich kann evtl mal bei collagemental anfragen: falls dort wer: artec jaime txema ow collagemental gut englisch kann, dann könnten wir auch ne spanische version erzeugen.

hab auch schon rückmeldung auf collagemental von quadernet, der portugiesisch schreibt. er würde es für sehr notwendig erachten - und auf diesem weg kann ich gleich sagen: auch auf portugiesisch floriert antville stark!
hat eigentlich schon wer über russisch nachgedacht?

Catalan
Sorry, in the last message of alpha I think I only understand the words "quadernet" and "portugiesisch". Quadernet, our weblog, is writted in catalan. In antville there are some blogs in catalan, and you can choose this language in preferences menu (calendar). Catalan is the 12th language most used in internet. We also wait for a transation...

Könnt Ihr antville so einrichten, dass wenn in den preferences "German" eingestellt ist, dann auch überall "German" antville-nachrichten kommen? Hermann.

those translations are good, but not perfect (as they never are). allowing users to translate "from one of the existing languages" could provoke strange chain reactions. i think every translation should be derived from the original, english version. this shouldn't be much of a problem for people who read the instructions above :-)

Malay Language
Hi! I speak Malay language which is spoken in Malaysia (and quite similar to Indonesian because it comes from the same family language). I would like to take a shot in translating this project to the Malay language. But, probably the 'slow-and-steady' approach.
